FC Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart only on Sunday: That is why the 33rd matchday does not take place at the same time

The penultimate matchday in the Bundesliga sovereign? Not all games like at the end? Many fans are surprised that the 33rd matchday stretches this weekend from Friday to Sunday.

The regulation - also for the 2nd league - had already announced the German Football League in 2020 when tendering the new media rights for seasons 2021/2022 to 2024/2025.

Due to the change, FC Bayern receives the master shell this time in his last home game: The new DFL boss Donata Hopfen gives it to Munich on Sunday (5:30 p.m.) in the game against VfB Stuttgart.
